The Cotton Candy Baby Blanket is a sweet and simple baby blanket featuring pastel “sprinkles” of color throughout. This blanket uses an easy slip stitch pattern that creates the appearance of colorwork without carrying floats or working with two strands at the same time. The main color is worked for two rows, followed by two rows of a coordinating accent color. Change the accent colors as often as you’d like. It’s a wonderful way to use leftover yarn from your stash.
This blanket is being knit with a worsted weight skein of “Parcel and Bow” by Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn” line. The plain colors are simply bits of leftovers used from other projects.

How much yarn do I need?
Assuming a gauge of 4.5 stitches to the inch in stockinette stitch (estimates are approximate depending on your tension), this is total yardage combined. For example, the stroller size estimates 600 yards. That translates into 300 yards of variegated and 300 yards of scraps.
- Stroller: 600 yards 22” x 28”
- Baby: 750 yards 28” x 36”
- Small: 950 yards 34” x 40”
- Medium: 1200 yards size 36” x 46”
- Large: 1600 yards size 42” x 50”
