Needles

I use these Knitpicks needles for baby hat projects.  Have you tried these ‘shorties’ yet?  They have small tips which make baby hat knitting in the round so much easier.  They are called the Knitpicks Options Short Interchangeable Needles.

Yarn

Oh how I love baby yarn!  Some of my favorite yarn for baby hats comes from Etsy.  I like to give them a little soak in Eucalyn.  Simply mix a capful in some warm water and give the hat a little bath.  After 15 minutes or so, remove the hat and roll up in a towel.  Unroll it and pin to a blocking mat.  I always feel like blocking my knits is like a little reward for the yarn for doing such a nice job 💕

Simple design yet so classic and elegant. The Basic Bonnet is knitted back and forth from the forehead towards the back. The back is knitted with short rows. After this, attached I-cord is knitted along the bottom edge of the bonnet.
