Rocco’s Berocco Blanket

I used a size 8 needle using up Berocco Comfort yarn leftovers.  I also added the moss stitch a couple times for fun (row 1: k1, p1…. row 2: p1, k1…. row 3: p1, k1…. row 4: k1, p1).   I found a chart for a big heart, purled that in.  Found elephants, purled those in.  Found a great alphabet chart that worked and purled in Rocco’s name.  It is a mishmash blanket that turned out so awesome!  To accomplish the purled chart look, I had to knit on the RS, and purl the chart.  WS I purled the whole way.  I just love this – a subtle way to add designs to a blanket without making the back side look messy.
