Tiny Kisses is available on Etsy and Ravelry
There’s something special about a knitting pattern you can knit almost by heart.
Tiny Kisses is one of those blankets. With a simple four-row repeat using only knit and purl stitches, it’s easy to memorize and wonderfully relaxing to knit. Before long, you’ll find yourself settling into a comfortable rhythm as the blanket grows, one row at a time.
Designed to be relaxing to knit and beautiful to give.
How much yarn should I buy?
Using worsted or aran weight yarn and assuming a gauge of 18 stitches = 4″ (4.5 stitches per inch).
I knit this sample using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn! Prints in After Dinner Laughs. I love how a colorful variegated yarn creates all the interest without changing colors. Just knit and enjoy watching the pattern appear.
Yardage is approximate and may vary depending on your gauge, yarn choice, and knitting style.
- Stroller: 650 yards for a 22″ × 28″ blanket
- Baby: 1,050 yards for a 28″ × 36″ blanket
- Small: 1,400 yards for a 34″ × 40″ blanket
- Medium: 1,700 yards for a 36″ × 46″ blanket
- Large: 2,100 yards for a 42″ × 50″ blanket
Don’t worry if your finished blanket isn’t exactly the listed size. Unlike a sweater, a baby blanket doesn’t have to fit perfectly. If your blanket is an inch or two larger or smaller, it will still be just as beautiful and useful.

Needles
For my blankets I often recommend Knit Picks Needles. These are the Knitpicks: Sunstruck Options Interchangeable Circular Set that I just love. The wood is warm in my hands and the joins are smooth.
