Yarn – Vanna’s Choice Lion Brand. 100% acrylic, worsted weight. I used a size 5 needle, 4″ to the inch. Cast on 56 stitches and knit 9 rows. The 10th row I knit through the back loop to stop the curling. From there I knit 6, purled 2 for 3 1/4 inches. Started the chart in the Berry Baby Hat, a free pattern on ravelry. That added another 2 1/2 inches. The hat fit Cora perfectly – at one year old. The total length of the hat is 6″. To make the curly stem, cast on 30 stitches, Knit in the front and back of each stitch. Bind off.
