Pumpkin Hat

This little pumpkin hat took about 3 hours to make.  It fits a 7 month old.  I used Red Heart Tangerine yarn, not sure what green it was though.  I used parts of different patterns to make a basic rolled brim hat.  I cast on 55 stitches and knit for 2 inches in the round.  Increased to 60 stitches and knit until the hat measure 5″ from the rolled up edge.  Then decreased:

*K3, k2tog* around.
Knit one round
*k2, k2tog* around.

Cut the orange yarn and start the green:

Knit one round
*k1, k2tog* around.
Knit one round
*k2tog* around.
Knit one round
*k2tog* around
Knit one round

To finish I made a 4 stitch I-cord for 1.5 inches.  Easy!
