Cast on 64 stitches with size 5 needles. Doubleknit for 3 rows. Separated the stitches and knit the brim with the letters from the baby name hat chart. Knit the inner hat with size 4 needles. After the 2nd stripe, i knit both hats together and continued on with the outside of the hat. The brim is double layered while the hat is not. Knit 6.5 inches, decreasing to 60 stitches. Then k8, k2tog around, then knit around. k7, k2tog around…. etc.
