Oh how I love this pattern! I’ve made it dozens of times now and each stocking is unique.
Cascade Christmas Stocking Pattern.
I like to use Encore Premier Worsted Weight Yarn because it has some wool in it and comes in lots of Christmassy colors. I use a size 7 needle although most knitters would use an 8 or 9. I am a very loose knitter.
