Baby Santa Hat

Project info

I made this little hat for a newborn baby girl named Keira. I used a size 6 needles, 4 stitches to the inch

The yarn is Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted Solids & Heathers in red and winter white.
Notes

Cast on 48 stitches.
Knit 6 rows
Join and k1 red, k1white for a total of 6 rows.
Knit with red til hat measures 4”.
Decrease by k2tog every 16 inches until 9 inches remain.
Cut yarn and sew through remaining stitches.
Make pompom.

Washed the hat in hot water and dried on hot setting. Made it softer.
